BODY SCULPTING

If you have undergone a massive weight loss* programme, you may be faced with problem of excessive skin hanging from your arms, buttocks and legs. Some of this skin may shrink back naturally but much of it may not. While you your weight may have come down to acceptable levels, your body may not look as toned and firm as you wanted it to.

Is there a way to get rid of this stubborn problem and get the look you always wanted?

Of course there is. Just talk to us at Dr. Karishma Aesthetics

*Massive weight loss usually leaves excess skin that hangs in ripples and folds. The arms, breasts, lower abdomen, buttocks and thighs are the most affected areas of the body.

After a massive weight-loss programme, ideally, you should wait at least for two years to allow the skin to shrink naturally as much as possible, before going in for cosmetic body shaping procedures.

Commonly Used Terms:

1) VASER is an acronym for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance. Ultrasonic frequency waves are used to break down down unwanted fat cells, which are then removed using liposuction.

2) Liposuction is a type of cosmetic procedure that removes fat from the human body to change its shape. A thin tube known as a cannula is inserted into your body and a suction force is applied to suck out the fat permanently. Remember, liposuction will not help you lose weight. It only serves to alter the contour of your body.
